A great CD by the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Show Band. Led by Joe Settlemires, the songs on this album represent a history of jazz music. Many may have been played by the all girl bands in the 30šs and 40šs when USAO was known as OCW. Each generation has recorded these songs, every possible style of music and musician have carried the songs into their era their way. Songs like Georgia, Sway, Route 66 are perfect examples of how the past can be embraced by the present and carried into the future as you will soon see.
